Division of Daimler AG
On December 1, 2021, Daimler AG was split into two independent companies: the "Mercedes-Benz Group" and "Daimler Truck AG". The company was thus officially split into a car and a truck division.
This new entrepreneurial independence is now followed by a phase of restructuring. Among other things, the new Daimler Truck AG (DTAG) has decided on a new sheet nomenclature, which is to be introduced on the market in several stages. This also results in a new labeling of already known approvals/recommendations such as MB 228.51 for affected AVENO products. In order to make the renaming as clear as possible for our customers during the transition phase, we will adhere to the nomenclature specified by Daimler Truck AG. This recommends adding the previous sheet number in brackets. Example: DTFR 15C110 (formerly known as MB 228.51) or DTFR 15C110 (228.51) for short.
We would like to inform you that during the transition phase, products may be labeled with old and new nomenclatures. This phase is expected to last until mid-2024.
